all-consuming numbness
matched with chai tea
and my eyes unfold
on the drive home

consumption of the mind
my grains fall out
my ears and I refold
these weary arms around me

they tell me sandcastles collapse
to the steps of an unfamiliar beat
but the air clings tenfold around my limbs
and I drift within the spotted rain

nothing captures
like the tight&loose grip
of an enfolded warmth
and a drifting gaze
