Sharing Shoes

For the month of March, we will be featuring poems by Gabe Jacobs! Check out his poetry below and let him know what you think!

Your shoes fit right
but they don’t feel right
when they aren’t filled right.
If only our feet
could trade places.

I know I have big boots to fill
that you never got to break in,
and if you can’t in heaven
I sure as hell will.

The fabrics have stretched
to fit your form.
On me they look right,
but feel so wrong.

The holes you left
won’t close on their own
so I guess I should
get out my sewing kit.

My name is Gabe Jacobs, I am terrified of inadequacy. I miss Anthony, and I believe Michael Bay was Shakespeare in a past life.
